Streak of Winning, ridden by Ryan Maloney, sprinted well fresh at the Sunshine Coast.

A freshen-up and drop back in distance has done wonders for Streak Of Winning.

The five-year-old, ridden by Ryan Maloney, is living up to his name, winning his third race in seven career starts.
He bounced back at the Sunshine Coast yesterday (August 10) to win a Class 2 (1000m) on a heavy track.
Sitting just behind the pace, he sprinted well in the straight to win by a half-length as a $2.20 chance.
“After a disappointing run last start over the 1400, we elected to freshen the horse up and drop him back in distance to the 1000 metres,” trainer Stuart Kendrick said.
“He was very impressive, beating a couple of nice horses after being given a good ride by Ryan Maloney,” he said.
“He looks like a horse that we will keep fresh and run between the 1000 and 1200-metre trip.”
