Maximum Output, ridden by apprentice Jace McMurray, broke the track record when he won at Ipswich on Wednesday.

SPEEDSTER Maximum Output is a new track record holder at Ipswich.

The seven-year-old stopped the clock at 44.43 seconds when he won a Benchmark 75 (800m) on Wednesday (September 3).
He pounced from just behind a lightning speed to score, with the final 600m of the race a scintillating 33.01 seconds.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said it was great to see Maximum Output claim the track record in a midweek city race.
“He is one of the most consistent horses in the stable,” Kendrick said.
“It was a great ride by Jace McMurray to get cover just behind the leaders and he was too strong in the straight,” he said.
“Two runs ago he carried a big weight to win the Bundaberg Lightning.”
