It was bouquets all round at Rockhampton.

Consistent filly Bonnie Bouquet earned a deserved maiden success when she stormed home from the tail of the field to win a 2&3YO QTIS Maiden Plate (1200m) on Tuesday (July 21).

Starting the $1.80 favourite, the Stuart Kendrick-trained filly overcame a rearward position under apprentice Steph Tierney before unleashing a sharp finishing burst in the straight to score comfortably and secure valuable QTIS bonus prizemoney for her connections.

Kendrick was delighted to see the Queensland-bred filly rewarded after a series of honest performances this campaign.

“It was a well-deserved win,” Kendrick said.

“She showed a really good turn of foot, coming from last to win comfortably and pick up the good QTIS bonus prize money for the owners,” he said.

“She had been very consistent this preparation without winning and now adds to the good tally of QTIS prizemoney available for Queensland-bred horses, being by Spirit Of Boom.

“She is not a big filly but tries very hard.
