Air We Go, ridden by Ben Thompson, in full flight at Eagle Farm.

Air We Go was in full flight in his midweek Eagle Farm win.

The four-year-old Capitalist gelding, trained by Stuart Kendrick and ridden by Ben Thompson, flew late to win a Benchmark 65 (1000m) as a $5.50 chance on Wednesday (January 28).

He edged clear over the concluding stages to win by just under a half-length.
Kendrick said a great ride by Thompson helped Air We go return to the winner’s stall after a runner-up effort at the Sunshine Coast last start.
“It was great to get a city win on the board,” Kendrick said.
“He has always shown a lot of ability and now as a more mature horse we are hoping he can be a good city class horse.”
