Spies On has beaten the torrential rain and her rivals to win break through at her second career run.
Ridden by Ben Thompson, Spies On ($1.40-fav) followed a runner-up effort on debut with a runaway five-length win in a 3YO Maiden-SW (1100m) on the Sunshine Coast poly track on Sunday (March 8).
The meeting had been switched to the poly due to the wet weather and was abandoned after Spies On’s win due to torrential rain.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said it was an impressive win and lucrative as it came with a QTIS bonus.
“She was very unlucky at her first start when she ran second and improved today,” he said after the win.
“She was bred by Wayne and Paddi Muller and is by Spieth, a sire we have had a lot of success with.”
