Zoumeteor has rolled a hot favourite in a stunning return to winning form.

The five-year-old scored the sixth win of his career when he led all the way at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday (July 20).
Ridden by Taylor Marshall, Zoumeteor ($8.50) found the front and was then never headed, winning an Open (1200m) by two-and-a-half lengths.

Third-up from a spell, he upset hot favourite Demon Award ($1.24).
Trainer Stuart Kendrick was not surprised by the boil-over.
“He’s a quality horse when he’s right,” Kendrick said.
“He won a half-a-million dollar race at the Gold Coast Magic Millions (last year),” he said.
“It is good to see him back in winning form and hopefully he can go on with it.”

The win marked two open company wins in three days for the stable, with Heartoni (photo below) scoring at Rockhampton on Friday.

Ridden by Cody Collis, Heartoni ($4.80) won an Open (1050m) by one-and-three-quarter lengths, despite getting shuffled back in the run.
Heartoni was second-up from a spell and it was his seventh win from 20 career starts.
