KENDRICK Racing unveiled its new addition Redford at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday and the Snitzel four-year-old couldn’t have been more impressive.
Ridden by James Orman, Redford ($1.65-fav) completed a training double for the stable when he won a Benchmark 60 (1300m).
He’d won his first two career starts before switching to Kendrick Racing and kept that unbeaten record intact.
“He’s a very nice horse going forward,” said stable representative Nathan Kendrick.
“He was still very green, but was impressive in winning by three lengths for Aquis,” he said.
Earlier, Heart And Spirit kicked off the winning double when she broke through in a 3YO Maiden (1200m).
Ridden by Cody Collis, Heart And Spirit ($3.10-fav) won comfortably at her third career start by one-and-a-half lengths.
“She’s a well-related filly,” said Kendrick.
“It was a good ride by Cody from the wide gate and she was impressive,” he said.
