SQUARE Dance’s owners would have been doing a winning jig after the three-year-old broke through at the Sunshine Coast.
Ridden by apprentice Jaden Lloyd, Square Dance ($6.50) led all the way to win a QTIS 3YO Maiden (1400m) at on Sunday, May 16.
It was the Better Than Ready gelding’s 13th career start, with four previous placings.
“Square Dance repaid his owners’ faith with the good QTIS win,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“He has been very consistent without winning, so it was pleasing to get the result,” he said.
“He’s still carrying plenty of condition so will improve off that run.”
