A ROAD trip up the range did the trick for The Diamond.
The All Too Hard three-year-old broke through for his second career win in a Class 2 (1100m) there on Saturday (May 22).
Ridden by Georgina Cartwright, The Diamond ($8.50) appreciated the easier class after a midfield effort at Eagle Farm last start.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said it was a good win and a patient ride from Cartwright.
“Hopefully, it will be a confidence-building win as he’s always shown promise,” he said.
