INFORM three-year-old Gerrymander ensured a good payday at Kilcoy over the weekend thanks to the QTIS scheme.
Her Kilcoy win in a QTIS 3YO Benchmark (1200m) on Sunday (June 4) pocketed nearly $27,000 for connections, including a QTIS bonus.
Ridden by apprentice Bailey Wheeler, Gerrymander ($3.90) won it easily, racing away to score by three lengths.
It was the Better Than Ready filly’s second win in a row, having saluted at the Sunshine Coast last start.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said the patience of her owners was now paying off.
“She had good, consistent form last preparation, but couldn’t break through for a win,” he said.
“She’s now won her past two and picked up very good prize money with the QTIS bonus.”
Kendrick praised the strong ride of Wheeler.
“The horse will now head to a metro race,” he said.
