A CHANGE in fortune had Zoumeteor looking like a shooting star at Eagle Farm.
The Zoustar three-year-old scored the second win of his seven-race career with a front-running effort in a Class 2 (1000m).
Ridden by Taylor Marshall, Zoumeteor ($5) cruised home to win by two-and-quarter lengths.
It was his fifth start since he broke through in good style in maiden company over 1000 metres at the Sunshine Coast back in April.
“He hasn’t had much luck at his last couple of runs,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“He had a good barrier and Taylor Marshall rode perfectly to instructions,” he said.
“He’s a very promising type and we’ll now target a Saturday metro race with him.”
