TRIED horse Hollywood North will try to sneak into the Magic Millions Cup next month.
“I’m not sure if he will get a run, but he will make it interesting if he sneaks into the field,” trainer Stuart Kendrick said.
The trainer was plotting the ambitious plan on the strength of the horse’s win at the Sunshine Coast on Boxing Day.
Well ridden by apprentice Jasper Franklin, Hollywood North dominated a Class 4 (1400m) by three-and-a-half lengths.
He stalked the speed in second into the straight before racing away from his rivals to score at his second start for Kendrick Racing.
The former Chris Waller-trained five-year-old had run well on debut for the new stable when fifth in a metropolitan race over 1200 metres at Eagle Farm and was too strong for his rivals back in grade.
“He showed that he is a horse capable of winning in better grade,” Kendrick said.
“The stable is having a great run with these types of tried horse purchases,” he said.
