KENDRICK Racing has landed another big haul of winners on the Sunshine Coast poly track.
The stable saddled up four winners on Easter Sunday (March 31).
It followed two separate five-win hauls at the same course and circuit in recent weeks.
On Easter Sunday, the stable put the writing on the wall early when Dayu (main photo), ridden by Michael Rodd, won the first, a Maiden Plate (1000m) as $1.40 favourite.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said the horse showed a touch of brilliance with the win.
“Coming off two placings, he was run off his legs early, but then balanced up and came from last to win easily,” Kendrick said.
“He might look to head to town next start,” he said.
Ioane ($3.60), a newcomer to the stable, was the second win of the afternoon.
Ridden by apprentice Cody Collis, he broke through in a Maiden Plate (1400m).
“Ioane was having his first start for the stable,” Kendrick said.
“He had been working very well and showed he is a nice horse in the making with a comfortable win,” he said.
“It was an excellent ride by Cody, getting into a great spot from the outside barrier.”
Nightstick ($1.26-fav), ridden by Rodd, backed up his good second last start to win a Benchmark 58 (1400m).
“He was challenged by stablemate Wassa at the 200 but pulled out plenty to come away for a good win,” Kendrick said.
Wassa finished second, giving the stable the quinella.
Spirit Of Brodie ($1.40-fav) then completed the haul of four winners when he won the last, a Benchmark 55 (1000m), by one-and-a-quarter lengths.
“It was a good win,” Kendrick said.
“He was again ridden by stable apprentice Cody Collis,” he said.
