ENTERPRISE Defence has broken his maiden status at an opportune time.
The two-year-old scored his first career win in a metropolitan race at Doomben on Saturday (July 13).
Ridden by Michael Rodd, Enterprise Defence ($8.50) won a 2YO (1350m).
The breakthrough win has connections excited about the horse’s upcoming three-year-old season.
“It was a well-deserved win,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“He showed a lot of promise in his first preparation and was always going to get better as he matured,” he said
“He ran a very close second (at Ipswich) last start and it was great to follow that up with an impressive win at metro level.
“He should make a very nice three-year-old, especially as he gets over a mile and further.”
