Leger Chase, ridden by Nikita Beriman, kicked off the training double when she broke through in a Maiden.

SEBRING Girl has another city win on the board.
The five-year-old mare (main photo) completed a midweek double in successive races for Kendrick Racing when she won a Class 5 (1600m) at the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday, September 5.
Ridden by apprentice Cody Collis, Sebring Girl ($2.50-fav) beat stablemate Ultimate Outcome by three-quarters of a length.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said it was an impressive win after a couple of placings in Saturday grade.
“She was ridden ideally by Cody, and it was great to get the quinella, with Ultimate Outcome also running well for second,” he said.
“Hopefully, she can now go back to Saturday grade and win again.”
In the previous race, Leger Chase ($3.70) broke through in a Maiden Plate (1200m).
Ridden by Nikita Beriman, the four-year-old mare also won by three-quarters of a length.
“It was a great win first-up from a spell,” Kendrick said.
“She has always shown plenty of potential and reproduced that on the track,” he said.
“She is a lovely filly by Dundeel, owned by Michael Sherrin.
“It was pleasing to get a win for Sherrin Racing, who have shown a lot of faith in our stable.”
