WELL-BRED filly Bank Book has deposited a first-up win for connections and will now chase more lucrative returns.
The three-year-old ran up to her trial form with an easy win in a Gold Coast F&M (1000m) on Saturday (November 2).
Ridden by apprentice Rob Thorburn, Bank Book ($1.45-fav) won by three lengths to break through at her fourth career run.
It followed an easy four-length trial win leading into the race.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said Bank Book had come back bigger and stronger.
“She has always shown plenty of ability from her first trial,” he said.
“The owners have been patient and were rewarded with a very impressive win at the Gold Coast.
“The filly is very well-bred, being by Written Tycoon and a half sister to Bank Maur.
“She will now be aimed towards a city race over the next couple of weeks.”
