New Hampshire, ridden by apprentice Corey Sutherland, completed the double.
TWO of the most consistent horses in the stable capped a good weekend for Kendrick Racing with a double at headquarters on Sunday.
Pink Cashmere (main photo) and New Hampshire won successive races on the Sunshine Coast card.
“Pink Cashmere has been consistent all preparation and deserved another win,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“It was a terrific ride by Jace McMurray,” he said.
Pink Cashmere ($6.50) won a Benchmark 65 (1200m) by one-and-a-quarter lengths.
New Hampshire ($17) then defied his long odds to win the next, a Benchmark 58 (1000m), chiming in late to win by a half-length.
“New Hampshire has been working terrific on the track of a morning and put that into his race,” Kendrick said.
“(Apprentice jockey) Corey Sutherland had to weave a path in between runners,” he said.
“But he then finished very strongly to win going away.
“It’s been a great few weeks for the stable, with some of our tried horses giving their owners a lot of fun and good prizemoney.
“The stable has trained a metropolitan Saturday winner over the last three weeks, as well as a number of provincial winners.”
