Italian Riviera, ridden by apprentice Jasper Franklin, winning on Friday night.

KENDRICK Racing and High Calibre Racing have struck immediate success with Bews.
The five-year-old, the first horse raced in conjunction between the two, won at his Queensland debut in a Doomben 0MW (1200m) on Saturday (October 26).
Well ridden by apprentice Cody Collis, Bews ($2.60-fav) burst though along the inside to score by three-quarters of a length.
“The horse got off to a terrific start for the stable and High Calibre,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“It was exciting to see him win first-up in town,” he said.
“He is a Magic Millions horse and will be aimed towards a race over that carnival.
“He is another tried horse to win at metropolitan level for the stable. We’ve had some excellent success with these tried horses.”
Meanwhile, another promising horse piloted by an apprentice won first-up for Kendrick Racing at the Sunshine Coast Friday night meeting (October 25).
Italian Riviera ($2.70), ridden by Jasper Franklin, won a QTIS 3YO Benchmark 65 (1400m) by a half-length.
It was his third win from four career starts.
“He will now be aimed at the three-year-old staying series over the summer,” Kendrick said.
“He has a terrific pedigree on the dam’s side and should get better the more he matures,” he said.
Stablemate Chapparal Chase ($2.60-fav) finished third.
