Vetta Velocita, ridden by Jimmy Orman, cruised home to complete the double.

The stable also won with Kayleen, ridden by Bailey Wheeler, on the Gold Coast Poly on Saturday.

A HOMETRACK double at the final meeting of the season was a fitting way for Kendrick Racing to celebrate its 10th Sunshine Coast premiership.
And it was two of the old stagers, Superare (main photo) and Vetta Velocita, which lobbed to give the stable two winners on Sunday, July 30.
“it was good to see two of the older horses of the stable salute,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“Superare is always consistent, but has to time his run to perfection as he knows how to wait for them when he hits the front,” he said.
“(Jockey) Martin Harley timed his run and held on for a nose win.”
Superare’s win, the ninth of his career, came in an Open (1000m) as a $5.50 chance.
Vetta Velocita ($4.80), ridden by Jimmy Orman, completed the double in style when he won a Benchmark 68 (1200m) by nearly three lengths.
“The horse has been very consistent also this prep and was unlucky last start,” Kendrick said.
“Jimmy rode a 10 out of 10 ride on him and he finished strongly to win easily,” he said.
“He will have another crack at metro grade again now.”
The stable trained three winners for the weekend, with the other being Kayleen on the Gold Coast Poly on Saturday.
Ridden by apprentice Bailey Wheeler, Kayleen ($4) won a Class 1 (1050m) by a half-length.
“Three winners for the weekend was a great way to celebrate our 10th STC premiership in a row,” Kendrick said,
