Ashfall, ridden by Bailey Wheeler, kicked the double for Kendrick Racing off with a good staying effort.

THERE was no bad luck in sight when Ultimate Outcome (main photo) bounced back into the winner’s circle second-up from a spell on the Sunshine Coast poly track on Sunday (August 18).
Ridden by apprentice Cody Collis, Ultimate Outcome ($8) won a Benchmark 58 (1400m) in good style, scoring by nearly two lengths.
“It was good to get another win with him after things didn’t go to plan first-up,” said stable representative Nathan Kendrick.
“He has a good turn of foot when he gets clear galloping room like he did today (Sunday),” he said.
Ultimate Outcome’s win completed a training double for the stable, with Ashfall ($3.30) winning over a staying trip earlier in the afternoon.
Ridden by Bailey Wheeler, Ashfall won a Benchmark 62 (2150m) by three lengths.
“He is a promising staying and showed that over a trip,” Kendrick said.
It was also a day of near misses for the stable, with Elaea, Limero and Vetta Velocita all finishing close seconds. Menazzi also finished third in Vetta Velocita’s race.
