HOLLYWOOD North is scripting a good story for connections.
The Vancouver five-year-old has now won two of three starts since arriving in Queensland from the Chris Waller stable.
His latest success came in midweek city grade at Doomben on Wednesday (January 10).
Ridden by Michael Rodd, Hollywood North ($2.80-fav) timed his run perfectly to score in a Class 6 (1350m).
It followed a runaway win over 1400 metres at the Sunshine Coast last start.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said Wednesday’s success was a good, tough win.
“He was coming off an impressive win at the Sunshine Coast and had to step back up to city grade,” Kendrick said.
“It was a solid field, so for him to give them a start and beat them was a tough effort,” he said.
“He will now head to the metro Saturday meeting in two weeks.”
