LIMERO looks city class.
The three-year-old lived up to his early promise with a good breakthrough win in a Maiden (1000m) at Eagle Farm on Wednesday, July 3.
Ridden by Nikita Beriman, Limero ($3.90) surged through a split late to upset odds-on favourite Deep Vegas.
“It was a satisfying win for the owners,” trainer Stuart Kendrick said.
“He has shown a lot of ability from his first trial, but just hasn’t delivered,” he said.
“Now gelded, he trialled will leading into this run.
“It was the prefect ride by Nikita, putting him in the box seat.
“When under pressure, he was very strong finishing off to win with his ears pricked.
“He looks city class so, hopefully, we can see the best of him now.”
