LOOSE Unit has overcome a tricky draw to regain winning form.

The five-year-old broke through first-up from a freshen-up at Gatton on Friday (December 20).

Ridden by apprentice Shania Willis, Loose Unit ($7.50) won a Class 1 (1100m) after winning a trial in the lead-up.

Trainer Stuart Kendrick said it was great to see the horse regain winning form.

“He has been a very consistent horse, but always seems to find one better,” he said.

“From a wide gate, Shania rode him perfectly and had the last run at them.”
