A NEW addition to Kendrick Racing looks to be the ultimate showman.
Former New South Wales galloper Master Showman broke through at his first run for the stable in a Benchmark 70 (1100m) at Ipswich on Wednesday (July 24).
Ridden by apprentice Cody Collis, Master Showman ($2.90-fav) ducked through a gap on the inside late to win well by more than half-a-length.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said it was a terrific first-up win by the son of Snitzel.
“He was well ridden by Cody just off the pace and then sprinted quickly when he got the gap,” he said.
“He is a very well-bred horse. We bought him off an Inglis digital sale.
“We have had a lot of luck purchasing tried horses that have become city winners and this is another.
“Hopefully, we will now head to a Saturday race, and he’ll be hard to beat.”
