He secured his berth with victory in a heat at the Gold Coast on Saturday, June 11.
Ridden by Robbie Fradd, Maximum Output ($6) won a Benchmark 72 (1100m) by three-quarters of a length.
It was his second win from his past three starts.
The All Too Hard gelding is ultra consistent, with four wins, four placings and four thirds from 14 career starts.
“He’s a tough, little bloke,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“He’ll head to the final now,” he said.
“It is good for Archer Park. They are having a good run with their horses lately.”
