PROMISING mare Tojaki’s stocks have soared following a metropolitan win at Doomben.
The well-bred four-year-old, ridden by Robbie Dolan, built on her impressive record by winning a Class 3 Plate (1350m) as a $5 chance on Saturday (November 11).
“She’s always shown good ability since we purchased her out of Melbourne,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“She made it three wins from four starts (for Kendrick Racing) and now has a metro Saturday win on her pedigree,” he said.
“Being a well-bred Zoustar mare, she now has good residual value.”
Dolan rode Tojaki well, letting her roll forward.
“Even though she wasn’t comfortable on the soft track, she dug in for a tough win,” Kendrick said.
“We will now look at a possible run in The Gateway (at Eagle Farm) in a few weeks’ time.”
