VETTA Velocita is one of the last Show A Heart horses racing for owner Judy Cutts.
The six-year-old is flying the flag for the stallion, which retired from breeding in 2020 before his death last year.
Vetta Velocita has won two of his past four, with his latest success coming at his home track on Sunday, August 4.
Ridden by Bailey Wheeler, the gelding won a Benchmark 72 (1200m) as a $6 chance.
“It was a terrific ride by Bailey,” said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“He (Vetta Velocita) was very unlucky at Rockhampton a couple of runs ago,” he said.
“But Bailey had him in a perfect position and then rode him out strongly to the line.
“It was a well-deserved win and hopefully he can continue on and put another couple together this campaign.”
Stablemate Menazzi also ran well at his first start in about nine months, finishing third.
